Hace apenas un par de días el calor se sintió muy fuerte acá en Buenos Aires - 37ºC. Así que por la tarde me tomé una cerveza que un buen amigo me regaló. Es una cerveza artesanal de muy buen sabor. El problema fue que cuando pensé en agradecerle a mi amigo me encontré con la dificultad de hacerlo de tal forma amable y que la gente no malinterpretara el mensaje.
Las opciones eran:
- Gracias por la Sister (hermana)
- La Sister estuvo riquísima.
- No sabía que la Sister estuviera tan buena.
Pero todas estas opciones podrían traer muy mala interpretación ... y sin lugar a dudas, el reclamo airado de mi esposa. Pero, ¿a quién se le ocurre ponerle un nombre así a la cerveza?
Pensé que simplemente decirle "Gracias por la Sister" (hermana) no solo me traería problemas con mi amigo, sino también con mi esposa.
It was really hot here in Buenos Aires just a couple of days ago - 99ºF. So I had a beer in the afternoon that a good friend of mine had given me. It's a microbrew and it's really good. The problem was that when I thought of thanking my friend, I found it hard to find the right words in a way that the message would not be missunderstood.
I thought of:
- Thank you for the Sister.
- The Sister was delicious.
- I didn't know Sister was so good.
But all of these options could easily be misunderstood ... and without a doubt, I would face my wife's complaints. But, why would anyone give that name to a beer?
